Post the success of SS Rajamouli , Prabhas and Rana Daggubati’s Baahubali films , Telugu cinema has usually been associated with larger than life- big ticket spectacles like Kalji 2898 Ad, Salaar; Part 1- Ceasefire, RRR and many more. But every once in a while a film comes and changes the expression not only on screen but also at the box office. The film is Mouli Tanuj Prasanth and Shivani Nagaram’s Little Hearts directed by Sai Marthand. The film has been touching across and the buzz for the film is growing so much that Nai- actor from Telugu cinema watched the film on Monday night and took to X ( formerly Twitter ) to praise the film, he wrote , “ What a breezy fun film #LittleHearts is. Laughed heartfully after long time. Akhil, Madhu, khathyayani ( am not sure too abt the spelling). You all made my day. I won’t say I love you but for now I will just say ‘Thank you’.“In four days the film has till now minted Rs 9.60 crore at the box office. The film opened to a slow start with day 1 collection coming to Rs 1.35 crore. But the cinema magic happened on day 2 where the collections jumped by over 77 % and the collections reached Rs 2.40 crore and on the third day the collections spiked by 50 % to earn Rs 3.60 crore. Even Monday where films usually crash, Lille Hearts minted Rs 2.25 crore, an amount more than its day 1 collection. The success of the film has not been limited to just Indian shores. In North America the film in three days has collected USD 422,000 ( Rs 3.5 crore) in just 3 days has has out performed films like Sivakarthikeyan’s Madharaasi ( USD 421,000), Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 4 ( USD 177,000) and Anushka Shetty’s Ghaati ( USD 73,000)Going by the strong word on the street for the film , the film is expected to have long legs at the box office in India and abroad for the coming weeks.
